Braves exact revenge on Reddies
Carrollton, Ga. - December 17, 2005 - In the final contest before the holiday break, the West Georgia Braves were not in a giving mood against the Henderson State Reddies, committing just 10 turnovers in a 61-51 win at the HPE Building.
Braves sweep weekly awards
Carrollton, Ga. - December 14, 2005 - A pair of West Georgia guards swept the Gulf South Conference East Division Player of the Week awards in the weekly GSC release for this week. Michael Ford and Tai Ellis both earned the honor for their play this past week.

Braves upend #11 Catawba in Carrollton
Carrollton, Ga. - December 10, 2005 - The West Georgia Braves came into Saturday's game with #11 Catawba not having played a complete game yet all year. Put that notion aside as the Braves shot 56 percent against the Indians en route to a 97-78 win at the HPE Building.
UWG rises above Fort Valley on the road
Fort Valley, Ga. - December 7, 2005 - Michael McCowan�s block with just seconds remaining in Wednesday night�s contest at Fort Valley State sealed West Georgia�s sixth win of the season, a 71-69 overtime in-region victory.
Burras shines in West Georgia's triumph
Atlanta, GA - December 5, 2005 - Senior Chris Burras had his third double-double of the season in leading the West Georgia Braves to an 86-52 win over the Clark-Atlanta Panthers in Atlanta Monday night.

Carrollton, GA � November 30, 2005 - The West Georgia Braves have produced their first award winner for the 2005-06 basketball season.


Braves overtake GSCU in All-Georgia Finale
Carrollton, Ga. - November 26, 2005 - The second day of action in the All-Georgia Classic featured a pair of exciting matchups. The West Georgia Braves bested Georgia College and State 68-53 and Columbus State outraced Morehouse 82-73. The Cougars were the only team undefeated at this year's AGC.
UWG falls, GCSU rolls at All-Georgia Classic
Carrollton, Ga. - November 25, 2005 - It was a good night for the Peach Belt Conference at the Third Annual All-Georgia Classic, with Georgia College and State University beating Morehouse 87-63 in the early game and the West Georgia Braves falling to Columbus State 92-84 in the nightcap.
Henderson upends Braves in Arkansas
Carrollton, Ga. - November 21, 2005 - The West Georgia Braves put themselves in position to win a huge road game against a tough opponent in Henderson State Monday night. But Andrius Petkunas' basket with three seconds left was called a two-pointer instead of a three, leaving the Braves on the short end of a 50-49 stick in the final game of a three-game road swing.
Braves too much for Miles
Cleveland, MS - November 19, 2005 - It didn't take long for the UWG Braves to flex their collective muscle Saturday night, as the Braves jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first seven minutes of the contest with Miles and never looked back, cruising to an 81-63 victory on the campus of Delta State.
UWG douses Dragons in Mississippi
Carrollton, Ga. - November, 18, 2005 - The Lane Dragons kept things close early, but the West Georgia Braves proved to be too powerful on the evening, beating the Dragons 91-65 in Cleveland, MS on the campus of Delta State.
Braves open season with runaway victory
Carrollton, Ga. - November 16, 2005 - The 2005-06 season opened with a bang Wednesday night at the HPE Building, as the Braves used a 68 percent shooting effort in the first half to cruise to a 97-62 victory over the Carver Cougars.
