UWG returns after six-year hiatus
Carrollton, Ga. – March 1, 2005 – For the past five seasons, if a person wanted to watch a West Georgia softball game, they had to go to the Carroll County Recreation Department. Not in 2005, as the rest of the home games will be played at Oil Park in Carrollton.
The Braves played at Oil Park for several years before moving to the Rec. Dept., commonly referred to as the Duff. The move back will bring West Georgia softball back to close to campus as Oil Park is 1/4 mile away from the UWG cmapus.
Wednesday’s game will mark the return of UWG softball to Oil Park.
