A new face joins West Georgia’s offensive staff for the 2005 season. Josh Clendenin comes to the program as a graduate assistant, and will be responsible for UWG’s tight ends this season.

Clendenin comes to the collegiate coaching ranks following two seasons as a prep assistant. He spent the last two seasons working with the offensive line and tight ends at Providence High in his hometown of Charlotte, N.C.

As a player, Clendenin was a stalwart career as an offensive lineman at 1-AA power Appalachian State. He helped the Mountaineers to the 1999 Southern Conference title, and to a berth in the 2000 semi finals of the NCAA 1-AA Playoffs.

Clendenin is a 2001 graduate of Appalachian State University, earning a degree in Criminal Justice. He is married to the former Jennifer Lowe.
