Kramer named head strength and conditioning coach

Carrollton, GA – August 3, 2005 – West Georgia is taking a step to the head of the class in Division II athletics, as athletic director Ed Murphy has announced that Drew Kramer will take over full-time in the 2005-06 athletic year as the Director of Strength and Conditioning.

“We will be one of the few Division II schools in the country with a full-time strength and conditioning coach,” Murphy said. “It certainly elevates the level of the overall athletic program immediately.”

Kramer comes to West Georgia from Auburn University in Alabama, where he spent three years as a graduate and volunteer assistant in strength and conditioning with Olympic sports such as swimming, diving and track and field.

Before moving to Auburn, Kramer played football for three years at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He was a offensive lineman in his playing days.

Kramer still makes his home in Auburn, Ala., and is married to the former Meagan Hines
