A year under his belt with West Georgia and Rocky Hunt is still going strong. In the fall of 2004, Hunt will be entering his second year as the Braves’ defensive line coach.

Hunt this year begins his fourth season as a collegiate coach. He spent last season as a defensive graduate assistant at the University of Louisville. He was also with U of L in 2001, working with the CardinalsÂ’ strength and conditioning program. Also, he served in 2000 as the defensive line coach at North Greenville (SC) College.

A 1999 graduate of Appalachian State (Recreation Management), Hunt was a two-time first team All-Southern Conference selection, and earned Walter Camp All-America honors for the Mountaineers. A dominant pass rusher, Hunt graduated as ASUÂ’s record holder with 25.5 career sacks and ranked third with 61 career quarterback pressures after leading the team in 1998 (15) and 1999 (25).

Born December 14, 1976 and a native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Hunt is marred to the former Ayokka Green.
