West Florida spoils Friday night action

Carrollton, Ga. – September 23, 2005 – Friday night was tough on the West Georgia Braves, as a strong serving performance from West Florida handed UWG its second straight conference loss, 3-0.

It was a rough night all-around for the Braves, who led just just once the entire evening. That came in the third game of the night, as the Braves jumped out to an 11-7 lead in the game.

After a timeout by head coach Melissa Wolter, the Lady Argos came back out hard, outscoring the Braves to the finish 23-11.

Carolin Schoeneck led the UWG effort on the evening, collecting 17 kills at a 32 percent clip. Siha Collins helped keep things close with six blocks on the night.
