Braves fifth after first day at Indian Bayou Classic

Carrollton, Ga. – September 20, 2005 – The West Georgia men’s golf season opened Monday at the Indian Bayou Classic in Destin, FL. The Braves are fifth after two rounds with another round to be played today.

As a tean, West Georgia is in striking distance of both Arkansas Tech and North Alabama. The Braves total score is 600 after two rounds, just behind Tech’s 599 and UNA’s 596.

Individually, Zach Bennett and Knox Martin are both tied for 10th in the tourney with a two-round score of 149, 5-over par. Don Thomas is the next Brave at 151 and Matthew Evans is at 152.
