Carrollton, Ga. – September 21, 2005 – Four straight wins, including two over conference opponents have given the West Georgia Braves a huge boost in the NSCAA South Region rankings. The Braves moved up to fifth in this week’s rankings with Gulf South Conference action heating up this weekend.
The Braves entered the rankings two weeks ago at eighth, setting up a battle with seventh-place Lynn in Carrollton. UWG won that battle 4-2 and moved up to seventh in last week’s rankings.
The points earned from a win this past week over Division I Alabama State was likely the reason for the Braves’ boost this week.
West Georgia travels to head coach Gareth O’Sullivan’s former post, Christian Brothers on Friday evening for the Braves’ first-ever GSC contest, then to Ouachita Baptist on Sunday.
