Carrollton, Ga. – October 1, 2005 – The second day of the Montevallo Coca-Cola Classic was very similar to the first for West Georgia. It began with a 3-2 victory and finished with a 3-0 blasting, giving the Braves a perfect weekend.
The Braves came out and played well against a tough Martin Methodist squad, losing the first game 30-27, but coming back in the second for a 30-25 win. The third game was another UWG win, this time 30-27, but Martin was a handful in the fourth stanza, winning 30-15.
In the Braves’ second five-game match in two days, UWG was able to come out on top in the final game, 15-11.
Against Fort Valley State in the second match of the day, the Braves wasted little time, winning 30-15, 30-14 and 30-17.
Stephanie Singleton and Carolin Schoeneck were named to the All-Tournament team for their performances.
