Valdosta, Ga. – December 4, 2005 – The West Georgia Braves found offense a little difficult to come by Sunday afternoon at the Ramada Limited Classic in Valdosta. The Braves fell to undefeated Florida Gulf Coast 49-35.
The game started off with very little offense. Neither team scored for nearly five minutes to open the first half, but committed a combined eight fouls in that span. The Braves took the brunt of those calls with six fouls.
With the score 19-11 at the half, both teams made some adjustments and came out firing. FGC outscored the Braves 30-24 down the stretch to pull away.
Natasha Liggins led all scorers with 15 points on the afternoon. The Braves fall to 5-3 on the year with a trip to Columbus State coming up this Saturday.
