UWG falls in heartbreaker to UNA

Carrollton, Ga. – October 29, 2005 – The West Georgia Braves lost a chance for a share of the Gulf South Conference tournament title Saturday night in a heartbreaking 20-19 senior night loss to North Alabama at Grisham Stadium.

Senior Javari Taylor rushed 28 times for 189 yards against the GSC’s best defense against the rush. The Braves had a shot with 30 seconds left in the game, but a Blake Ferris intercepted Keats Baldwin’s pass in the endzone to spoil the Braves’ effort.

West Georgia falls to 6-4 on the season and 6-2 in GSC play with a trip to Valdosta State left next weekend.
